Suitable first aid courses
The minimum first aid qualification you require for the Road, Trail or Technical Leader awards is a minimum of 8 hours or 1 day in duration, from a provider who is able to provide Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved first aid qualifications such as First Aid at Work.
An example of this would be the 'Appointed Persons First Aid Certificate'.

The requirement for the Assistant Leader is a minimum of a four hour course from a similar provider, and Advanced and Leader Trainer candidates should attend a course of at least 16 hours or two days in duration.

  • High Peak First Aid training providing Wilderness First Aid (WFA) courses

  • Pre Hospital Emergency Care Training Agency providing courses in South Wales and across the UK
